Wet Glaze History

Our Story: The Wet Glaze Legacy

Every brand has a story—but Wet Glaze has a legacy.

Born from a Passion for Shine

Wet Glaze began in 2006 with the introduction of Danase Wet Glaze. The original formula quickly earned a loyal following among detailing enthusiasts for its ease of use, signature slickness, and unmistakably deep, wet-looking finish.

As its reputation spread through detailing forums and enthusiast communities, Wet Glaze became more than another car care product. It became a trusted name among people who shared a genuine passion for exceptional shine.

The Evolution of an Enthusiast Favorite

Over the years, the original formula evolved into Wet Glaze 2.0—preserving the qualities enthusiasts loved while delivering even greater gloss, slickness, and depth.

Detailers around the world shared their photos, reviews, and results, helping Wet Glaze build an enduring reputation across generations of vehicles and enthusiasts. What began as a single standout product developed into a name recognized for creating finishes that demand attention.

Wet Glaze Finish Care Today

Today, Wet Glaze Finish Care proudly carries that legacy forward as a complete American car care brand rooted in the Pacific Northwest.

From our home in Washington State, we continue to honor what made Wet Glaze special while developing a growing family of products for professional detailers, dedicated enthusiasts, and anyone who takes pride in a beautifully maintained vehicle.

We believe car care should be more than chemicals in a bottle. It should be fun, inspiring, and rewarding. Every Wet Glaze product is created with that philosophy in mind—combining thoughtful formulation with real-world performance to make detailing more enjoyable.

Two decades after the original Wet Glaze earned its following, our purpose remains the same: to create products people enjoy using and results they cannot wait to share.
